    Atheists Join Coalition Opposing Johnson Amendment Repeal

    American Atheists today joined with a coalition of 86 religious, secular, and charitable groups opposing any changes to the Johnson Amendment, the rule prohibiting 501(c)(3) organizations from engaging in partisan electioneering and protecting both religious and charitable organizations from political meddling. The letter comes after President Donald Trump promised to "totally destroy" the rule at the 2017 National Prayer Breakfast.

    Atheists Express 'Grave Concerns' About Trump's Supreme Court Pick

    President Donald Trump has announced that he will nominate Judge Neil Gorsuch to the United States Supreme Court. Judge Gorsuch currently serves on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Gorsuch would fill the seat that has been empty for nearly a year after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
